Did it, Didn't hurt it. You could also use an awl or test light to ground
out the cylinder by poking the pointed end throught the wire boot on the dist
cap until it touch

Will pulling plug wires as a diagnostic method (with the engine running) Harm
the HEI distributer components like it would an electronic ignition.

How true. I have heard that the Edelbrock fuel pumps
are prone to leaking. I am leaning toward the Holley
since the casing can rotate. Hence, you can move the
braided fuel l

I had a holley 12-454-11 on my 70's 454 and it snapped a rod internally. Not
what I was expecting from a $50 fuel pump. I put the good old $15 Carter Pep

There appear to be all different makes and models listed
