Hey John,
I really want to go, but my wife's question is: How far from Leesburg is it?
She doesn't want to end up driving for 4 hours in an untested car (Elky).
I'm going to check out mapquest so I can get an idea how far we'll have to
drive.

The Yenko Chevelles did not come with a rear spoiler but there is one LeMans
blue Yenko Chevelle that had a rear spoiler dealer installed. They just
bolted on a 69 Camaro rear spoiler to the trunk lid. I have a picture of it.
I can email it to you if you want.

There were no "standard" Yenko Chevelles as far as I know. Aside from the
interior dress-up and stripes/badges, options were whatever the aftermarket
had. Any wheels, glass hoods, shifters, tachs, etc. I remember seeing a
picture of a 69 Yenko with a rear spoiler from a 1st generation Camaro.

Thanks Cliff,
I won't do anything to it, just leave it "as is" because the brakes worked
fine before taking the parts off the car.
Maybe you could also tell me why the front line is 3/16" and the rear is
1/4", is this just to avoid mixing them up or does it have a purpose
Kind Regards

Here's some pictures from my website
http://www.noneckschevelle.com/images/carpics/bob69yenkochevlle.htm
It doesn't have a spoiler though. I don't think I've ever seen one with a
spoiler. The one on my website is the real deal, not a clone.

They also did that on the Caprice/Impala & station wagons. From what I've seen, "400" in small letters at the front of the fender indicates a 400 small block. "400" at the bottom of the fender, behind the wheel indicates a 402 big block.
De
the 396/402 was "marketed" as a 400 4 barrel big block engine not to be
confused with the 2 barrel 400 small block. GM did that on the El Caminos
and trucks in 70-71 I believe.

Good luck! From past experience I do know that HI was notorious for changing manufacturers of some of their parts during production. Make sure you find out the exact build date before you try to hunt down parts. I guarantee that if you don't have the date you will have problems.
