If memory serves
me right the 6.95 x 14 changed to F78 x 14 when they went to the letters. The
F78 in today's metric would bearound 195 x 14. I am sorry but I
don't remember how the 78 converter, but would make an educated guess it would
work out to around 85. So I think what you would

When I purchased my 69 ChevelleI had the 396 engine rebuilt. I
placed a one wire alternator on it. The alternator came with a large box
of parts. We the Alt. went bad. I thought I'd replace it with an
original style one. The wiring was still there. I did so

When you look at the picture that shows the back of the alternator, the yellow (white
on your car) goes to the #2 connection.
Do you have a meter? What are you reading across the battery with motor off?
I didn't even hear about it. I'm about 30 minutes away from Worcester. Bummer. :(

Our car is spec'd on the build sheet to have a under hood light. We bought
a repro unit and need to know it's mounting location and the electrical
hookup. We been through the Chevelle Resto Guide and the 72 Service Manual
and can't find this info.

BTW, the under-hood lights that you see on ebay all the time can still be
purchased through your GM dealer. These replacements have a longer wire than
the originals, so if you want it to look technically correct, you have to
shorten the wire.

bolt-in replacement ALUMINUM radiator that will fit. Its 18-1/2 tall X 31
wide. The rad has a drain petcock, straight lower hose bib covers over
