I've got a 700r4 behind a 402 big block and so far it's been working great. I've got stock heads with a mild port job and a Comp XE274 cam. I'm also running a 3.73 gear. The 3.04 first gear in the tranny w/3.73 rear works great and at 70 mph I'm turning 2300 RPM's. Mine does have a shift kit

Performance about 6 or 7 years ago. I like it a lot and haven't had any
problems with since I installed it. The engine that used to be in the
Vette was about 325hp or so and it ran 13.8/9 @ 99-100mph w/ 3.70 gears.

I presonally love the idea of ecoating. I plan on having this done to my
car when i start my frame-off. It is recommended that you chemical dip the
car then get the body work done the redip the car then ecoat. This is
obviously the best way but most people just get the body work done the dip

I would only add that I don't think a stock HEI coil will output 50,000
volts. Maybe with an aftermarket coil, but not stock. I'm not even sure
that the stock HEI was an improvement over the standalone unit.

I've got a backhalved 68 Chevelle. I did the adjustable ladder bar and coil
over route. My frame rails are 24" wide on the outside. My rearend is
40-1/2 housing end to housing end, with a 46-1/2" axle flange to flange

The 4 piston calipers may worth more to someone who needs those specific ones for a
restoration. Generally a single piston set similar to yours would go for $250-400.
Many folks stay away from the 4 piston due to percieved problems
