Good move on getting another frame, I am going through this with my 69, it's a nightmare car. Nothing is lining up the way it should b/c the frame is bent worse than I thought it was. Also be prepared for the body structure to be screwed up in some places when you go to put it back together. Tom

4000? I've never seen a redline that low. I shif the 454 in my 70 at 5500, although I know it can handle 6500, but there is no sense taking it that high b/c it's out of it's powerband at that rate. I used to shift the 307 in my 86 Cutlass at 5000, and now that I put the 350 SBC in it, I shift it

Unfortunately, I know... I've checked wheels, rebuilt the entire rear end assembly, bought a new driveshaft, pinion flange and U joints. The engine spins out just fine so the balancer, flywheel, and other stuff is fine. Entire front suspension is new, BTW. So, I'm back to driveshaft...

In case anybody is interested, a guy in my neighborhood is selling a Pontiac Grand Prix. Looks like about a 1973 or very close to that. Looks all original. Paint (green) is faded but decent. There is some bubbling in both rear quarters but not rotted through. The rest of the body is very good.

ok, heres the story. The motor came out of a 1966 Chevelle SS, as far as I know. it is supposely the 375 hp version. We just visited him today (I said we were going to yesterday, but he had plans) and we looked at the car, he put it up on the lift, and it had paint chips all under it. I
