may I ask where you live? I went to see a 77
corvette about 7 months ago, and it was advertised at 8 grand, it was
silver, and looked goregous, but handled like crap. When you would jump on
it, the sides would twist, scary! it wsa the L82 option. I live in
PA.
Thanks for all the help guys, it turns out that this corvette looked good from the road but drove like a hay rack & the paint was very poor. Looked as though all the quarters where worked on at one time or another (they had approx. 2 inch wide seam that wasn't blended very well.

that the solenoid that kicks the throttle open a little bit under a few
circumstances like 1) when the air conditioning is turned
on 2) when shutting the car off to avoid dieseling. The 400
that was in my '70 when I got it (which came from a '72 Caprice) had a solenoid
like that

carrier. :-)

John, my '66 has the same holes and I think the
rockers are original. The holes I think are from the die stamping. They are
there for the die to grab onto to move it to the next stamping station. These
parts are not made in one stamp of the die but a series of hits. The rocker
molding clips

a slide hammer to pull it out, or get a long rod (like a broom handle),
insert it into the opposite axle tube, and set it up against the bearing
on the side you want to remove from. Then smack it with a big hammer
