I am trying to get the pitman arm off and this HUGE nut is being uncooperative. What size is it, anyone know off hand? It's too big for a 1 1/4", too small for a 1 1/2" socket. Do I need a 1 3/8" socket?? Don't remember seeing that size at the store. Jim '66 Malibu _

I dont think yours is the same as on my '70, but on mine there is a plastic ring with a brass backing plate on the back (I dont remember where that backs up againgst) and a wire that has a spring that locks into it and that assembly goes on the steering shaft. The wire then connects to the horn
