I know I am coming into this kinda late, but if it is the 13/16 plug it takes R44's, If it takes the tapered plug, R44T's You can even use a colder plug which is the R43 or R43T, or a hotter plug R45 or R45T.

Trooper;
I'm just guessing here but isn't the depth of the threads in the head
the decider as to the length of plug? I had heard somewhere that the
plug should protrude very little into the head, and not recessed to far
back up the threads. Someone enlighten us please. ;-Diane

Rob, The one to the coil goes to coil negative, red to a switched 12 volt
source and the black would be your ground.

I need some help installing the kneeknocker tach in my 66. The wiring
harness has 3 wires, one to coil, one red wire and one black wire. The
clips on the red and black wires have jumpers as well. Can anyone tell me
where these plug in on the fuse block and which plugs then go to the
jumpers?
