won't cut it for a show car if you are going for high points

The adaptor plate that mounts between the Hurst
shifter and the trans is critical to a good fit. Hurst made many different
plates that put the location of shifter slightly different up and down and front
to back

OK ... Thanks - I'm still at work, the car's home, and i must have mixed the descriptors in my help message - sorry to confuse the issue - Installed presently is the second type, the Super Shifter, it has to be, because the linkage IS straight to the shifting rods. So If I want to go back to facto

You need to
be specific with the type Hurst you have. The Competition Plus and the
Super Shifter are two different animals altogether.
Hurst makes
basically two types of shifters ~ regardless of "M" series. The Comp Plus

Not sure exactly - it's stamped Hurst 'super' or 'comp' something or other ... I'll check tonight at home again but I have the carpet off, and whole interior stripped, and it's 2 inches outside of the tunnel plate hole, and on the driver side of the tunnel hump. Tigergutt <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> w

Good Idea, but
I think I kinda got it.

Hi guys and girls,
I'm working on getting the c4 front suspension in and have found out
that removing the front sheetmetal is a clever move.
