I am in the Impala SS club. I buy all my GM parts through Dal. The price
is about 1/2 to 65% of my local dealer. There is not as much available for
older cars anymore, but I use Dal for all my 99 pickup parts and 96 Impala
parts. Highly recommended.

Pace either doesn't know (or didn't when the ad was submitted) what the GM
part # kit includes a reman alternator, is substituting a new unit in
'their' kits, or they're 'not responsible' for what appears in the ad. :-)

The Impala SS, Camaro and Corvette guys have been getting GM parts from Dal
Slabaugh for a long time. He is very friendly and knowledgable. The link
below will tell you a little about him and how to contact him if you need GM
parts.

20% DISCOUNT: U how does one go about getting a 20% discount at a GM
dealership?
Own a auto repair or body shop & open an account with them.

Hmm that gives me an idea. If one Chevelle dude can get a 20%
discount at a GM Dealer why not all?
You would think a club system like Team Chevelle, Aces, or even a local
club could negotiate a deal like that for members?
I wonder how many local clubs get discounts at sponsoring GM Dealer
lol no i don't work there just been buying parts from them since i was 16 (1966) and opened an account with them 30 +years ago

PRICE: Agreed on the price being pretty good. Maybe this is what's
needed to get the aftermarket prices back down to earth? Very functional
and saves time, effort and money for those that want to go serpentine or
need to put in some mods.
One of the mods I put on that I needed to use a modern ser

Thanks Dale for all the info. I'm assuming that this kit is for a long shaft water pump?

I don't see a conventional fan with any of these. Is an electric fan required?

FWIW, GM Parts Direct (http://www.gmpartsdirect.com) has the
same part #12498733 for $640.50 but no listing of individual parts. Same
price for the small block unit as well (#12497698) and they have a picture of

I'm still looking for the parts list @ pace.

Thanks for the list of parts from GM Parts Depot. I still haven't been able to find a list of parts @ the Pace Chevrolet link. I'm wondering how good the price is as I do have 20% discount @ the local GM dealer.

Are you sure it comes with the ac compressor, alternator and water pump? No where can I find it mentioned and the term "with air" to me means it is has the brackets for ac.

Let me know if this works.
GMParts Depot seems to have done a bit more
homework.
For $778 that's a steal.
If I end up having to run a Short Water Pump setup
in my '65, I will easily have that much in a stock system with current market
price
Once in a while serpentine belts seem like a good idea and then I recover and forget
about it! ; )
I see Pace has reverse rotation pumps for small and big blocks.
Not even going to venture as to what works with what.
