BTW, Peter Max is a very well known artist, and if he did paint the cars,
their value would probably go up. Nothing wrong with a custom paint job. I
really liked the cars in the Austin Powers movies. People were saying that
these cars are "unmolested originals" and all of that. Do we actually know
Thanks Tom. Mine is sort of a C shape and the fast idle
screw rests against it when it is engaged. I don’t see anything with a hole in
it. What I would really like is a way to convert this carb to a thermostatic
coil type setup. Does anybody know if that can be done with an Edelbrock carb?
Thanks for the off-list help. The brakes should have self adjusters.

Well...After getting the compressor aligned, and the alternator...we now
find the alignment on the power steering is off by a hair. Can't have your

OK, I'm sorry that I'm bringing up a Mopar question here, but I need a
little help. I have a 67 Dodge Coronet R/T in the shop & it needs
brakes. The brakes on the car don't have any self-adjusters on them, but
the Dodge service manual I bought shows that it should have them. Do any

Fred, Don't have anything to add to your post, but it is very interesting to
me that you used an A-body chassis for a street rod(32 Ford).
I am planning a build using a 65 Malibu chassis under a 57 Chev. pickup. I
know that wheelbase and tred is real close on the Malibu and the 57 pickup.

Dan,
No problems. Only "complication" was deciding where I wanted to place
the reservoir (firewall), run the -8an lines (through the frame) and
which to use. I wound up using Russell pro race tubing for the low
pressure lines and had one custom made locally for the pump to box
line.
