Hey guys, I have a 70' chevelle with just a 350 engine and I was thinking of
putting a bigger engine with more HP than my 350. I found an auction for a 396
engine on eBay, which is still up for bids. From what it is described here in
the website, Is it a worth engine to bid on to buy or
Hi!
Since there are no seatbelts

i have found that big blocks cost a lot more to
maintain
Just keep in mind that you will need to buy all the parts to make the
396 fit...intake, headers etc.

In addition to what Walt said... What I found to be biggest pain is BB
springs for the front, and the most expensive so far has been the BB
radiator. I forgot about stuff like this. Plan on spending some serious
money. It seems like nothing from a small block fits a big block.
Although, many
I'll 3rd what Jim Walt said.
There's a ton you can do with a small block. For the money you'd spend on
that mild 396 (and all the stuff necessary for the conversion), you could
have a really sick 383.
Not too long ago, I passed up a 427 for these exact same reasons.

block. That's what I'm talking about

Another thing to keep in mind... A 450 hp big block is going to be much
more drivable around town than a 450 hp small block for the very simple
reason that the big block doesn't need to be as radical to reach that hp
level. Personally I prefer big blocks because they have much more visual
appeal
Does anyone know where I can get replacement body door
moldings for a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix SE? There are 4 pieces, one each front
door and one on each back door. I also need the GRAND PRIX SE
emblems. One on each front door and one on the trunk. A Google search failed to
locate any.

Anybody out there with experience with the in-line 6 engine? Specifically,

Eddie, I agree with Herb. When I was going through that stage I had 20
guys tell me all the positives about the 350. There were also 20 guys that
were devoted BB diehards. If you asked this question 10 years from now
you'll hear all the same things.
My decision was a bit easier. I had a 307
