I appriciate your input. I was thinking more power, also my 283 leaks and burnsoil pretty bad so rather than rebuilding it i thought i would be better off just replacing it. and i also thought, if i spent the money to rebuild it, would i be sastisfied with the power. John, have you done any

get a big block. My 283 can definitely peel away from a stop and can
chirp the tires between first and second, but I really don't sit there

Hi Jim. Heres a link to my website page with
pictures of the 65 Malibu I had a few years ago. This car was my reason
for finding and joining this list. Although I've moved on to a completely
different style of vehicles now, I have alot of good memories of fun times with
this 65.

Since my dist is 180 degrees "off" I have to fix that first

Anybody out there have an old tore up under dash wiring harness laying
around? What I need is the headlight switch connector with 10 to 12 inches
of the wires still attached.
The 70 GMC truck I bought had parking light issues, and I discovered the
harness has been butchered up right next to the

I'm not sure about the towing something more than the vehicle. My
Nissan Titan is rated to tow a lot more than my vehicle weighs, and so do the
'big rigs'.
I towed a '49 Ford Woodie (heavy iron) on one of the uhaul rental trailers
(very heavy) behind a F150 with no towing package about

You shouldn't have any problems what so ever with this
arrangement...well, except the bad karma from towing a Chevy with a

Sorry for the commercial announcement but in March I changed web site
hosting services and several days ago my former host apparently hacked into
my account and parked my domain so that my web site and email would be down.
I have made the necessary changes but they say they will take a day or two
And don't try the BFH whack trick. You will put holes in the concrete
floor before the arm slip loose. Use a puller (loaned from a parts
store) or have it done by a shop.
