I had my 69 frame sandblasted and epoxy primed about 2-3 years
ago. It is tough stuff. I have slammed it, and dropped tools on
it, and even tried chipping it off to get to bare metal. (All long
stories). It is tough stuff.
I don't know about powder coat but I don't see how a stone

on my 69 chevelle we used a epoxy based primer sealer and painted black
over it.every time a wrench or a stone hits it it chips.we have restored
numerous corvettes and powder coated the frame and have had no problems,i hit
the frame on one car with a hammer by mistake and the powder coat wasn
