Title: Re: Car will absolutely not idle - the sequel
Don't use RTV there. Get a new gasket. While you're
replacing that gasket, check to make sure the mating surfaces on the manifold
and carb are flat.

Title: Re: Car will absolutely not idle - the sequel
Somebody said, keep us posted – so here goes..
Took the car for a drive and got the temp up to 180*, and noticed that the car was running very rough below 1200 RPM, but I could keep it at about 800 if I worked the gas pedal like a fiend.

We are leaving Dallas on Friday but don't exactly have
a set plan for the chevy show. I was thinking saturday
morning cause it's cooler and all.
Or were you asking where is the super chevy show?

Apologies to the group for this very OT message.
I'm a new, first-time homeowner and I have no relatives in the MD area.
I'm wondering if any Marylanders on this list know of someone capable of
re-grading a yard.
I'm near the BWI airport.
Thanks in advance

Sept. 29. It just so happens to be on a Super Chevy
weekend, how coincidental? I am not taking the car but
wondered if anyone on the list will be there. Just let
me know and we can meet.
