Larry- Why do you want to replace your carb? Having built a few Chevy sixes, stock to wild, and spent some time with the gurus at Clifford Performance, it is possible to adapt other carbs to the stock manifold, but not worth it for performance purposes. The most you'll gain is about 5%.
