Unfortunately, I can now vouch for Alex and his service. Fast, prompt,
complete, no hassle, check is in the mail (according to the adjuster).
Alex was even helping me out on a Sunday eve.
A big thumbs up from me!

Hi
Guys,
I would like to
replace my carb with another one or two barrel carb on my in-line 6 cyl. 250 cid
engine, a 1970 model. I would like to put something on it that would plug and
play, with either an automatic choke where the spring and rod setup on my
manifold would hook right up,

I just got off the phone with Alex. I was
sent a renewal letter from Hagerty, it said I could renew online. I wanted to
make sure Alex would still get credit for the policy, he said that he would
indeed still get credit for writing the policy even if I went online to renew

Do you need a 2bbl? If you are not looking for something performance oriented, you can have the one off my 72 if you'd like. Its been sitting in a box in the garage for probably 10 years. It was a parts store rebuild to replace my factory original. Ran fine when I replaced it with the

Larry- Why do you want to replace your
carb? Having built a few Chevy sixes, stock to wild, and spent some time
with the gurus at Clifford Performance, it is possible to adapt other carbs to
the stock manifold, but not worth it for performance purposes. The most
you'll gain is about 5%.
Devin,
Basically, I'm having intermittent problems with the one I have. I have
recently replaced both intake and exhaust gaskets, including the one that goes
in between the two, and bought a parts store rebuilt 1 bbl Rochester. I have the
following issues...

Larry- Sounds as if you have a vacuum leak,
probably in the carb itself. YOu can adjust it all over the place, and
think it's right, then nest time it's totally different. Question:
You said this was a store-bought rebuild. Do you remember who the
manufacturer is? I deal with 3 on a regular
