Dale, I'm about as far east as you can go. 2500' from the water.

I have been wanting a lift for so long. Well I

If one had the room higher than the door , the door could be changed to a
roll up. I blew it when I put a second floor inside my 3 car -14 foot high
garage. Now I am stuck with 7 feet in two bays and 8'6 in the single bay.
Obviously that means no lift.

I was talking to a door installer the other day and was told that they can install new hardware to re-route the tracks up closer to the ceiling. The guy told me he does it all the time for 2-3 hundred a door.

Here's the link for the lift. Mine came from a dealer in Temecula in
So Cal. The price was $2021. trucked to a depot in Stockton Ca. The
caster feature works great to move the lift, and they are easy to
remove. If I had a garage with trusses, I think I would consider
changing the bracing
I need to know the shop that installed your rear end
in your Elky. Or does anybody else remember?
Dammit!! I wish I had a next door neighbor like you.

Good deal for you. I know that you haven't had much chance to use it
yet, but: Do you really have access to the underside of the car?Does
stuff get in the way?I really want one, and built my garage with 10'
sidewalls scissor trusses to give me the overhead room. My concern

I really think there is plenty of room to work on all four sides and
underneath. There are no cross braces except for the front and rear
pieces that the ramps bolts to

Heya,
Seeing the good prices for ex-NASCAR gear, is there any downside to
installing one of their ignition boxes on a street car?
http://www.musclemotorsports.com lists several choices: MSD 6ALN, 6TN,
and 6 HVC. MSD lists them all as designed
I had MSD on my Blazer (big block-blah blah-blah) and was cruisin down the
highway when it quit. Blew up my brand new exhaust system. Sure they fixed
the box under warranty but they didn't pay for the exhaust. Never did find out
why it quit and I sold the unit. IMO, I say beware of used
I have a Back Yard Buddy. Nothing in center to obstruct work under the auto at
all. Cross braced at extreme front and rear. Best to have a 10' ceiling or
higher. They are mfg. in Warren, Ohio. gm66

Is anyone else considering putting a Jeep Cherokee steering box in their
Chevelle? Some guys out on LS1tech.com and protouring.com are doing it, and
say it is absolutely incredible. I picked up a steering box from a 1996
Jeep Cherokee (with speed sensitive steering) at the local pick and pull
