The check valve could be bad I suppose, but unlikelyYou can get boosters
from your favorite Chevelle/El Camino parts store. My favorite is True
Connections, www.true-connections.com 1800-600-4144 and I know they have them.

That booster is fairly common. Unless you are looking for 'correct you
should be able to get a reasonably priced booster at NAPA or other parts
store.and FWIW - its been a few years since I bought mine, but a
booster/master cylinder combo was cheaper than the booster alone. Go
figure.
