Borla is a great exhaust system. A million mile warranty exaust system. That shows they're confidence in the product. I put a Borla system on my 95 GMC Sonoma and it was great ! It made the 6 Cylinder sound like an 8 with no excessive noise. Its throaty, but its what we ( and others) Americans love

Hello All,
How interchangable is a frame from a 1971 Malibu Coupe with a body from a 1966 body ? Or is it not at all ? I have the 71' frame all blasted, primered and painted. Alot of work and money invested into the Chasis. I just can't find a decent body for it. I have one, but if

Hey man, I had the same problem with my engine. The casting numbers for it was a 283, 302, or 327. I narrowed it down by matching the numbers on the crankshaft which only went to one engine. Unfortunately it was to the 283. Hope that helps( if the motor is apart).[EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:

I dont think the eastern shore is going to get a whole lot of Isabelle. I live in Maryland and there is heavy wind right now. We are supposed to see the real deal after 8:00 this evening. I still have my power and my baby ( 71' Malibu) is nice and cozy in the garage.

I got word that the engine I.D. was in the right front too. It tuned out that the real I.D. was in the left rear of the block. That gave me two engine sizes, but after I took it apart I finally matched the crank to a 283. I matched it up using the information in the "Mortech" website (if you arent

Its funny that you mentioned "parts that fit" because I had a hell of a time Identifying the thing. I started with the stamp in the rear right of the engine, and the stamp was the same for 283's and 327's. I looked for the date and when I found what I thought was the date, it said 1982. Well, I I k

Its amazing how unscored it is. Hard to believe a 41 year old engine could look so good. Thats just a prime example of the old sayin: " They dont make em like they used to".

Looks pretty decent. The Malibu body i have now has a lot of internal rust in the trunk and under the back seat. How does that look in the one you have? If there is no rust, I would definately be interested in it. How much would you be asking for the body? The only problem I have is that I live in

Helo all, I have a 71 Malibu that i am restoring ground up (hopefully). i have the soft ware that identifies engine codes. Unfortunately, the stampers stamped the stamp too far to the right , and a few of the letters did not make it on to the engine block. I do know the code starts with a "d". And

I am restoring a 71 Malibu. Ther Rear of the body is rusted and there are a few large holes too. I was thinking of sandblasting the rust off of it and using sheet metal to cover the holes. Or, I could just look for another body. Finding one that is not rusty may be difficult. Would anyone happen to
