i pretty sure that the block cast# and the cast# on the heads are the one's
used to identify codes
all that other stuff like gm2 pass is just to let you know that was for car
with reg deck which is what you want.. one of those are the date code # are
the actually date of casting i think those o
try www.mortec.com it's agreat site lot of info also if your looking to
replace cam go to www.comp cam.com they have a copy cat cam for that motor
but you could get a lot more power with a differt
cam and a little head work,port and polish goes a long way on big block

454 oval open cast#14081045 78-87 they came off a running 454 today ran
strong they are complete
ready to go very nice shape very clean.. i don't need already bought rec
port part's if you want them let me know asap as for they will be going on e
bay for more... also have 1971 402 with steel 42
