Well I'll chime in with a different opinion. I personally kinda like the
long mellow Thrush glasspacks. It ultimately depends on your application...

they make an engine sound like a ratty, trailer park, can't afford to do it

Unless glasspacks have improved you'll get less exhaust
restriction and better flow with a good set of mufflers;
Walker Dynomax Super Turbos are very good and also quite
affordable ($32 apiece mailordered from Summit or
Jegs). It all depends if the goal is aesthetics or
performance...
