I had that problem also with ARP main bearing studs and also with ARP head
bolts on my 427. The headers didn't fit because the lower head bolts stuck up
too high with the washers. I hate the 1/2 socket head of the ARP head bolts
that don't look close to stock size. I don't use any ARP bolts any
