I sort of have a love/ hate relationship with them on the 68/69 cars,
anything older and it doesn't look right at all to me, but I'll agree put a
Camaro hockey stripe on it and it looks pretty kool!

STOP!!! This is a really bad idea, IMO. Of course, it's your car
and if you like them that's all that matters, but I think the stripes
should be kept on the '70-up models.

I have an all black 1968 Chevelle with an SS hood. I've been thinking
about painting some dark grey/charcoal Camaro-type stripes on it but
have not been able to find a decent picture to see what this might
look like. Has anyone done this to their 68-69 Chevelle? I'd love to
see some picture
To those that are interested I have a 1968 chevelle ss

The car is completely disassembled. Located in central Louisiana.

Does anybody happen to know why the power window regulator for 1968 Chevelle
is also listed as fitting 1968-72 Elky, whereas the manual one for 1968
Chevelle is not listed as fitting Elky at all? Seems like a misprint on the
part of the manufacturer. I was hoping somebody would know.
Thanks,
John

Any idea what the original purchase price
of a basic two-door 1968 Chevelle Malibu would have been? I can't seem to find info on that. Just a
ballpark would be great.
Thanks again.

I do believe 1966-1972 chevelles the bucket seats were called strato-bucket seats (options number A51) . 1966-1968 were called strato-buckets and 1969-72 were called strato type front bucket seat.

Thanks Dale. I wonder why they called them Strato-Buckets. The name seems to
fit the bucket/bench combo seat better. A stratus cloud is described as one
"of greater horizontal extension and comparatively lower height".

Ebay is a good place to find hard to find items and you can get some really good deals. Know how much one cost and what you are willing to pay. Just dont get caught up in the bidding process and if the price gets to be too much... let it go and move on.
Good Luck
