Count me in as a crimper solderer.
Like having to do wiring repairs just once.
I've also replaced brass terminls inside connectors which is a step up the
ladder in being a PIA but saves a splice.
Or use a piece of factory wire with the terminal attached already and hide
splice in harness.

Mike, is right on in describing the correct way
to do a wire solder joint.All you need is a small film of solder to fill
the voids

I've always thought that a solder joint was better electrically
than a crimp connection. But I found 2 internet references that say
a solder joint has higher resistance than a crimp. I know that a
solder joint should first be mechanically sound, so why would a crimp
be better?
