Agree with
Rick, a 400 would be overkill, one reason Chevrolet installed the TH350 behind
small blocks. A 700R4 or 2004R would be good choices if you want an O/D
unit. Ive never had both

a 350 trans in a 70 chevelle with a SB 350. I also have a MSD ignition with a
