The VIN is also on the cowl tag, it is just separated into sections. The last 6 digits of the VIN are also on the firewall behind the heater box. Your number will look something like this 138678XXX 13867 = 68 SS396 conv. 8 = 1968 X = the plant built at, you have to fill that in XX =

I'll have to look; but I'm sure I remember a company that reproduced cowl tags and would also do a VIN plate if you had the right documentation. Larry (Z)

Howdy, I have a question about my vin. it is 135375b161221. I know what everything means except the 35 ( digits 2 and 3 ). it is a 65 malibu. Any ideas what the 35 stands for?? Thanks Dan McIntosh 65 Malibu
