The trunk has the emblem SS 396 and the 396 cross flags are on the front of the fenders. The Malibu SS emblem are also on the front fenders and not on the rear quarter panels. The trunk trim for the Z16 is also completely different using a large cast trim and 300 deluxe tail lights & trim.

The Z16 was built on a convertible frame but I don't remember seeing a
convertible Z16 either. The convertible frame was stronger and used 2
additional body mounts.

i have several z16 pictures, articles and know several owners. not once have i seen or heard of anyone who has seen a convertible.
