Your vet should send Miki home with pain meds to last for a couple days after surgery, and that should take care of any residual pain.  Baby teeth are VERY shallow rooted, pulling them shouldn't leave Miki in pain.  Make SURE your vet has done pre-surgery bloodwork, and ask about the pain

I believe they check for wearing of the teeth and over conditions of the gums, tartar...plaque.   When I brought my OES into the vet she looked at her teeth and said she was 2 yrs old. I had her records that I was able to obtain from her former vet and she was 2.  So my vet was right on.
