And such a good boy. Time to start training. He is a heathen..lol..Does not come, knows no commands..does what he darn well pleases. Only one accident in the house in two weeks. Atta boy!! He is afraid of going outside without me period but going out at night. It is a struggle..He is seriously
I am going to take him in the Vet and have him weighed. I don't have anything here..Hard to say with the weight gain. Still terrible thin but eating like a horse. They wormed him again last week so hoping for a weight gain, not a loss this time. From: Peggy & The Girls To: Chihuahuas@yah

Pam he really is starting to look better! Still a little thin, probably from
the wormies, but have you noticed any weight gain at all?

His fur is in pretty rough condition, dry and no shine. The camera makes it
look better than it does. It will take a couple of months before the new food
etc..makes a difference. But at least he is clean. I don't think he ever had
a bath..certainly not in the shelter. The County Vet didn't
I just love Tino's very white fur. Is it soft? Liza's coat is so soft she is
slippery to pick up. It's like velvet soft. So Tino's skin is from problems
from the Mange? I never saw Liza in her bad condition but looking at Tino when
you first got him gave me an idea what she must have looked like
A few minutes ago 2 of my neighbors came (one driving and on the phone and
the other running) my dogs were loose. I quickly went into my yard and
counted - nope all of mine were here. Took a few minutes to get my heart
back in my chest. Then I went looking for the loose dogs. Nobody could
find
ty so much. He also was a miracle like your Liza. We literally held our
breathe for the first three or four days but I am beginning to relax now. And
yes, other than anti-bacterial shampoo and one treatment of tea tree oil, I am
just giving his body time to come back to health so he can fight
OMG Pam Tino's pictures now look like he is recovering nicely from the mange. I
saw his before picture when you got him. I posted about my new little girl Liza
about 3 yrs. She was found in the woods in about as bad shape as your Tino. She
also had mange and still has some balding around her arm
Pam, I am keeping him and you in my prayers.

Yes he still needs a lot of reassurance but he is a very happy little one.
Tail is always wagging. But does do the cringe thing when you go to pick him up
even when he wants to be..And if anybody raises their voice, he gets scared.
He has come a long way but is a sweetheart.
Oh Tino, You are going to be such a handsome guy.
I can see his eyes are asking if he can stay with you. He is still unsure!
It is so hard to see that look in a dogs eyes. That’s when I cannot bear to
find them a home. They have already found my heart.

I originally set out to find another Min Pin. I love the Minis but they are
more defiant that obedient. They can be lap dogs too but not as much as the
Chi. I also adopted Liza for my 13 yr old chocolate
lab Charlie. When my min pin died last Oct. "Charlie" was sad. She was his best

Margie, Welcome to the group. Yes, you will find Chi’s and other small dogs
