The actual issue seems to be that the mouse events are processed out of
order. Mouse-
down, Mouse-up, Mouse-move on a tab that is taking some time to update

I can confirm this issue for Vista, latest patches and SP. Very
frustrating!
Happens when there are alot of processes running and I have a lot of tabs.

I find this a lot too, I keep detaching tabs when I am only trying to give
them
focus.
The tab detach feature should be less sensitive.
