I too have anti-aliased blurry fonts in chrome but not anywhere else
including
Firefox and Opera.
I just built the latest chromium from source:

Chrome 4.0.266.0 is the same - the browser gui obeys my freetype settings
but web
pages are rendered antialiased.

I can confirm this issue. The output does not look as bad as in the
screenshot above,
but it's still antialiased and looks rather blurry.

I have this issue too.
GTK AA disabled
Xft AA disabled
SharpFonts.com config files
and Chrome is still rendering pages blurry :(

No. It looks from comment #12 like GtkSettings is correctly saying that
antialiasing
should be disabled, so assuming that the font settings are making it from
Chrome
