RE: [CinCV] Videodev.h library non longer supported on kernel 2.6.38 (Cinelerra on Ubuntu 11.04 won't compile)

Thanks, Einar. I think the more recent issues with libmp3lame are most likely related to Ubuntu 11.04, and not at all related to the lack of support of v4l1 in kernel. As I said previously, I will wait to see if 11.04 stabilises and retry the compilation process. Nicola > Subject: Re: [C

The same error applies to i386. For compilation, I use launchpad automatic system, which basically compiles and loads the required libraries from scratch. I never had any issue with compilation in previous version of Ubuntu. Since Natty (11.04) is still under development, I'll give it some time

[CinCV] Canon MPEG2-4:2:2, 50Mbs MXF, how to edit in Cinelerra?

2011-02-18 Thread Paul de Vries
All, With the Canon XF100 available soon (I am considering to buy one), I tried to edit a sample file from the XF300, which uses the same, as far as I can tell, codec: MPEG2 4:2:2, 50Mbs in MXF container. Sample file: AA026401.MXF, found on http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/canon-xf-series-hd-camcorders
