I'm not an expert but by using mpeg2enc in the "YUV4MPEG Stream" (File
-> Render -> YUV4MPEG Stream), you can specify 16:9 aspect in the
mpeg2enc commandline by adding "-a 3" or "--aspect 3" argument (see man
mpeg2enc)

You should "unarm" the tracks you don't want to insert the clips in
(including audio tracks). Only the tracks you want to insert the clips

You should export the audio part of your video, encode it into a format
readable by Cinelerra and import video and audio separately.

the Whole Cinelerra Thing in your suggestions. First try to know the
Community, second work with her.
btw I guessed your aim was to motivate and gather people (another time)
around a new Cinelerra Project. Maybe cin3 project wi
round Cinelerra aim to bring people to enlarge
the Community (= more users, more video specialists, more coders).
Cinelerra needs PROPAGANDA. That is my opinion.
