I converted the original 30fps video with this command:
ffmpeg -i DSCN0798.MOV -b 45M -s 1920x1080 -vcodec dnxhd

Are you running JACK while you are trying to use Cinelerra? I'm not sure
if Dream Studio runs JACK automatically at login but if JACK is using the
ALSA device it won't be available to Cinelerra even though other
multimedia apps that use gstreamer etc. will hook into JACK automatically
