Patick; Thanks for the help. But the problem with the floating route is that when dsl gos down the interface appears the be up so the route thinks everthing is fine. It will not route to the cable side. Was thinking of using Rip, but have no exp and don't know if this will be fault tolerant.

I have a 2523 in my lab configured as a Frame Relay Switch. All the serial ports are acting as DCE providing clocking to the routers. Initially, all clock rates were set to 64000 but I changed it to 100 ... for some reason, only serial0 and serial1 accepted the new clockrate speed f 100 ..
