Does anyone have recommendations for purchasing cisco lab equipment? I
thought I saw a post about a terminal server for ~$650 recently, but can
not find it now. Any suggestions?

I'm relatively new to this group, but having passed the written exam,
seeing this question makes me sick. As others have suggested, and I
completely agree, do your own research and learn the material. That is
what the CCIE program is about. I have invested many, many hours
studying books and
In this situation it is best not to characterize BGP as a load-balancing
method. BGP is designed to choose the shortest path; the shortest AS
path, path vector routing. Therefore if most of your Internet traffic
has a shorter path to its destination via ISP A then you will see much
higher usage
Yes, you will need a layer three device, either a router or a RSM module
for your switch. Routing is required whenever you need to communicate
between different subnets.

If i'm understanding the question correctly, it seems that you have not
defined any static translations. Static translations define how
internal resources appear to the outside world. Also make sure that
there are no access lists affecting traffic. Check the following links:
First I would look at the fragmentation of the voice packets;
specifically serialization delay. Serialization delay = frame size
(bits) / link bandwidth (bps). With voice you do not want to have more
than 150ms of delay. However on your 64k link you will be sending
1500-byte packets which
I believe you are referring to the exec-timeout command. To configure
the length of time that an inactive terminal session window will remain
open, use the exec-timeout global configuration command. To disable the
exec timeout, use the no form of this command.

As you suspected, the PIX is very sensitive to the correct speed and
duplex settings. You should verify that both the PIX and the switch are
both configured for 100full. The PIX is also sensitive to different
types of traffic. I recently found this article which may be of help:
