Hi Evan,
Ospf is like 6 equal cost paths and EIGRP is like 4 equal or unequal cost
paths. EIGRP is more flexible to have unequal load balancing.

Hi,
A serial interface doesn't have a MAC address. The router is taking on off
the lan-interfaces if you do for instance ipx routing and the router needs
one.

Hello,
Apparantly you're doing this on a 2500 when you're saying Read only. It
happens to be that a 2500 runs it's IOS partially from Flash, So if you're
booted from flash you'll see read-only, if you're booted from Rom-monitor
mode : config-register 0x2101 or 0x2100 you'll see read-write. Gre
When you need to have more security : remember PAP send clear text passwords
but CHAP encrypts the password and performs a challenge mechanism. PAP uses
straightforward ask and answer routine.

Traffic Shaping is mostly used in PVC-environments like FR and ATM. You can
have a lot of problems with it. The actual syntax is to vast to discuss
here but you can find excellent examples on CCO.

Is your network neighborhood a Netbios Environment
? Then I could be a Master Browser Instability Problem. Elect one
machine and put it manually as Master Browser.
