Was the BGP router process still running. Even if you delete the nieghbor
statements etc and you leave the BGP process running, the router will
require clear ip bgp * to remove all references.

Title: Routing Tables
If I can add my two cents, the end result is to find the
nexthop for the "best route" to the destination. Link state protocols
provide each router with the information to construct a complete map of the
network. Only changes are then propagated between routers. Distan
I'm not that familiar with the IGX but the errors are layer one errors. The
errors listed suggest to me that you have a carrier problem or you do not
have encoding or framing set up properly.

Hi,
Is the E0 port of the router listed as the default-gateway on the
workstations? The router will source the address of its outgoing interface
on a ping unless you do an extended ping. Try sourcing the ethernet0 port
with a ping to a remote network address and see if that works.

Hi jeonwoo
I'll try to answer. Anyone can correct me if I am worng.
If you have more than one subnet per vlan you would need a router to
communicate between subnets. If you have more than one vlan per subnet, I
don't think the users would be able to communicate between vlans.

Hi Ron,
This is how I would do this
First go th the interface and remove the access group statement that applies
the list, this is a saftey precaution. Second, cut the access-list from the
router and paste to notepad.
Third add the command no access-list #
to the beginning of the list. T
Guys, be very careful with advice on access-list on production routers. The
best practice for adding or changing access-list is to remove it from the
interface before modifying it. The implicit deny all can be a real disaster
with typos and the like when working from remote location. Be sure to
You do not have to set your default gateway to the address of the TFTP
server. You should set your default gateway to the address of a router that
resides on the same network segment as your PC is located. You may want to
check the spelling of the file ie look for spaces or make sure the extensi

using IPX connectivity and the 5.5 is using IP. The IPX connection uses a
UNC path name to connect. Does anyone know what size IPX packets the
