Why NDM instead of FTP ???

2000-08-04 Thread Lima, Frederico
Some can say NDM (new name CONNECT:Direct) does not have any performance improvement over FTP, but if you take in consideration certain extended compression features you'll see less bandwidth being utilized. Actually, NDM does not belong to Sterling Software but to Sterling Commerce. http://www.

Are you using 3DES encryption at the IOS level ?? This could be causing most of the impact ... you can add SEP cards to do the 3DES encryption at the hardware level , but I don't know if 2621 supports SEP. -Original Message- From: Cisco Group [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thurs

RE: SNA device types

PU 2.1 is not APPN. PU 2.1 is more a LEN node ( low-entry node ) and it can exist without APPN. PU 2.1 is the PU type required for the LU 6.2 sessions. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, June 05, 2000 7:06 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc
