Many tools out there that are free. One that will even graph the

In the pas I used regular non Cisco memory and it worked fine. Just
make sure it's similar (number of pins, speed, etc).

Couple of other minor points to add. The fast switching cache is on the
RSP and uses it's memory as does CEF. You can distribute the CEF tables
to VIP (versatile interface processors) cards. This enables the VIP
cards to store and process the packets based on the CEF tables on the

Hi,
With tacacs+ you can certainly use one time passwords for 2 factor
authentication such as SecureID. Tacacs+ is great if you need multiple
privilege levels on a router. For example you limit commands for Tier I
and open them up for Tier II. I'm not sure that Radius can do that.
Also the tran
Surely you are joking right? There are plenty of labs out there that

The Cisco IDS uses Solaris Unix and has an interface that listens to
traffic (promiscuous mode) but does not have an IP address assigned to
it. The traffic is then compared to signatures for pattern matching.

Hi Xy,
I had sent you configuration information for the LS100 using NSAPs and
thought you had it working now. Is this a new issue? If so it should
be a straight matter of just setting up a bidirectional pvc on the ls100
for your pvc. Bear in mind there are reserved ranges for vpi's/vci's

Some possible things to try would be to use the /force switch with the
delete command. Also try erase versus delete to see if that helps.

There are other labs even cheaper ($20 for 4 hours) with 13 routers,
switches, ATM, ISDN, Voice, etc. May want to consider them as well.
