There is an easy Win NT solution. You can have a one of the servers or
workstations act as a DHCP relay for the other subnets. They will listen dor
DHCP broadcats and forward them to the proper DHCP server.

64 bytes is the minimum length of the entire frame. The mininum size of the
data portion of the frame is 38 bytes for 802.3 and 46 bytes for Ethernet.
TCP/IP Illustrated Volume 1 is the source of this data and altough slightly
dated probably the best book on TCP/IP in print.

I have a 2948L3 switch that is connected to a 10/100 hub. The output errors
are very high. After clearing counters I have 100 output errors every ten
minutes. The port is set to autonegotiate and set itself to 100Mb full
duplex. I figured it would autonegotiate to half duplex since its connected

If you don't have it yet MRTG is free. You can use it to display and graph
bandwidth, dropped packets and line errors through SNMP for all switches and
routers, CISCO or any other bendor as well. www.mrtg.org.

Is there a way to check if an interface on a router is running at full or
half duplex? Show int shows the bandwidth but not the mode. Thanks.

FAQ, list archives, and
les I should query using snmpget for total
packets? What is the difference between
"interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifOutUcastPkts" and
"interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifOutNUcastPkts" ? I am assuming that total
packets out is the sum of the 2. I'm not 100% sure if one is the subset
