alternatively you can try clear ip bgp
soft in /out to just update the bgp table and not
flush all of them

Hi,
Does anyone know how do I go about providing
redundancy in a pure
switched ethernet environment.
The ethernet environment contains different switches
mainly Catalyst
3500 series. I need to propose a redundancy solution
for all the
switches. I am wondering does that mean I need router
to p
show ip route should tell you the other side of your
network since it is directly connected

Not many clues given though
but from what you say it seems logical that you should
check the status of your serial interface see if there
are many input errors or crc errors if there are check
the clock rate of your modem
otherwise check the status of the other party that you
are connected to t
You could use ip unnumbered on loopback interface
though , in this way when the lan segment is down you
can still have the loopback interface

You might want to check the LMI type follow by the
encapsulation type to see if it is ok
also set keepalive to zero to see if the interface
comes up if not you got a back interface

hi guys,
Please verify if I am right
default route and default-network serves the same
purpose , they both defines the gateway of last resort
whereas, default-gateway defines the gateway of last
resort if ip routing is not enable
Correct me if I am wrong
thanks

I believe is something to do with no service
statement on the top of the config file , can't
remember what is the exact service to remove but this
is it
