Does anyone have any links to resources for configuring 2509 routers as
terminal servers. I've done a search on CCO but can't find typical configs.

I have a 2509 connected via an OCTAL cable to a few console ports. When I
connect using 'telnet router1 2001' I get no command line, but the
connection says '.OPEN'. When I telnet to router1 and configure it,
console messages appear on the reverse telnet session, but still no command
prompt.

config(line)#modem inout
config(line)#trans input all
#telnet 127.0.0.1 2001~2008

ramius, do you have no exec configured on the line interfaces? I think
that would cause your symptom
