for CCNP. I guess the best question is has anyone that is a CCNP and taken

In 2000, regular CCNP (CCNA, BSCN, BCMSN, BCRAN, CIT or their
predecessors)+MCNS=CCNP Security Specialist.
In 2001, CCNA+MCNS+CSPFA+CSIDS+CSVPN=Cisco Qualified Specialist in Security.

Not to point out the obvious, but you do not need a CCNP to get the
"security" title. There are also exams for "cable specialist" and "SNA/IP".
Cisco is coming out with more specialty exam, so stand by. Most of them you
do need a CCNA/CCDA, accordingly. Yes for CCNP+Security, you would need a
CCNP
