i run a similar problem a couple of months ago
try this
install the 8mb flash simm that have the ios image you want to boot in the
first flash bank and put the second flash simm in the second bank.
delete any file that resides in the second flash simm ( i can´t remember now
if once must delet
Thanks BUT I forgot to mention I was in boot mode when I tried this inasmuch
as you can't delete a system image you are running from.
The main question is what do people know about flash write protection? Can
I unprotect these areas of flash or something so I can erase it? Is it some
attribute
Paul - you'll have to go to RxBoot mode. Let the router boot up into normal
mode, change confreg to 0x2101 I believe, and restart the router. When it
comes up it will look like this
Router(boot)>#
then you can do your copy tftp flash stuff.
