Thanks BUT I forgot to mention I was in boot mode when I tried this inasmuch as you can't delete a system image you are running from. The main question is what do people know about flash write protection? Can I unprotect these areas of flash or something so I can erase it? Is it some attribute

Paul - you'll have to go to RxBoot mode. Let the router boot up into normal mode, change confreg to 0x2101 I believe, and restart the router. When it comes up it will look like this Router(boot)># then you can do your copy tftp flash stuff. GL, jason Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.
