I believe you are using MS SNA at the branches end. Try the following to see whether
would solved the problem.
1. Vary off the existing branches controller.
2. rename the controller
3. Let the AS400 Recreate the controlller and devices again.

"routing" differently than it was before. If it has two connections to
the network, maybe it is using the wrong one for return traffic to the
