I would use show hardware. Show version just shows the name of the image. I could name it anything I want and load it into flash. Most of the time, it will be named for the Router or Switch series and the feature set, but this may or may not be reliable. Ben ___

Farook, look at where it says " (MSFC Software (C6MSFC-JS-M), Version 12.0(7)XE1) from this it shows that it is ("c6 for cat6000 ") where in the "sh ver" do you read what type it is? Try to use "sh ver" on the router and check the image. the following output sh cat6000 family. Hope
