I didn't answer your question about books. My understanding is that there currently are no books that directly correspond to the Security specialist tests - except the CCNA and MCNS- which have Cisco Press and other books out. The information I have is that the other three tests come directly

Hi Imran, Yes, you must take all four exams. The way it's written can be a little confusing, but the "1" means that it's the version 1 of the certification - just like CCNP 2.0 is the version 2 of CCNP. I do not have any book recommendations for you, since I have not started this specialization
