Brian, How do you propose to configure the user id & password into the PIX? There's no command to allow this. So you won't be doing any authentication, except the pre-shared key which is the same for everyone. One password between your LAN and the Internet. Feel safe? You could install Radius

need to use RADIUS or TACACS for accounting.SO you can capture these accounting packets in any software to find . The RADIUs Vendor I have in mind is LIVINGSTON..I think its more cheaper then your requirements!! TACACS is Cisco proprietary AAA protocol server..and can be used only with CISCO
