does anybody know the reason why I can configure a 9180 byte MTU on port

Mark,
I'm not sure if you have other 10g links, but keep in mind that Cisco has
(at least) two 10g optics - Xenpak and X2 - that are not intercompatible.
I believe that the 6704-10ge uses Xenpak and the 6708-10gE, which is the
same card but with 8 ports, uses X2. If everything else you do is

is there any way to draw this traffic /per subnet ?

Hi Mohammad
Netflow is probably the best solution for you. Take some time to explore it on

Put each subnet in its own vlan and use netflow?
If you put each subnet in a VLAN, you could use interface counters.
Unfortunately, life is rarely so simple.

In that case, it's quite easy... Just do aggregation based on source AS and use
next-hop-as to determine the usage of traffic from each customer on you uplink
peers.

Marlon,
Current Y.1731 implementation supports mainly fault management (i.e. ETH-AIS,
ETH-RDI).
For performance management we use IP SLA for CFM (ping/jitter), which works
fine in our case:

I actually just set this up on the weekend. You can use virtual-
template 1 ip unnumbered with an ip pool on the headend and dialer0 ip
address negotiated on the client too if you don't want statically
routed clients.

Try nagios or opennms, each are a little different. Nagios is a bit more
customizable in service checks, but perhaps that has changed in the last few
releases
